Lacrosse is a team sport played between two opposing teams. Each player is equipped with a long-handled stick with a net attached, which is called a lacrosse stick or a crosse. Players use this stick to pass, catch and cradle a small rubber ball, with the objective of the game being to outscore the opposing team by shooting the ball into the opponent’s goal. The stick can also be used to check an opponent’s stick to prevent them from scoring. While men’s lacrosse involves more physical body contact and the use of more protective equipment, the women’s game does not permit any rough body contact.
The artificial turf lacrosse field at GO PARK Sports is built to Olympic 6-a-side match specifications, marking the first dedicated lacrosse field in Hong Kong.
